JACK JACKSON
Strategic Plans & C4I Projects Director, N5 Mr. Jackson brings to the task his experience from a 22-year naval career, where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer-3 at NAVCOMTELSTA San Diego in July 2008.   After retiring from the active duty Navy, Mr. Jackson served with SPAWARSYSCOM San Diego as a project lead for the System Center Pacific’s Computer Network Defense division. During that time, he was responsible for performing Computer Network Vulnerability Assessments (CNVA)/Computer Network Defense in Depth (CNDID) baseline assessment of all FY09 fleet deploying ship's computer network systems during their inter-deployment training cycle.

Since re-joining the NAVCOMTELSTA San Diego team in October 2009, Mr. Jackson has served as the Configuration Accounting Information Retrieval System (CAIRS) System Administrator, the Command Information Assurance Manager, and the command’s first Information Assurance Program Manager and currently is the Strategic Plans & C4I Projects Director , N5 Department Head. He directs and is responsible for Command & Control, Computer, Communications and Intelligence (C4I) enhancement of the commands operational systems, develop planning requirements for new system, systems implementation processes, institutes Navy directed system software engineering and program management principles. Command’s strategic planner and future Cyber-security/operations officer for the western pacific theater.

A native of Gary, Indiana, Mr. Jackson holds a Master Degree in Management of Information Systems from Keller/DeVry University in 2014 and recently received a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Information Security –Government from Villanova University in 2016. Jack is married to the former Venita Saucer and has two sons, Phillip and Darnell and one daughter Quanisha.
